Dr Alastair Goode’s talk at the AQR this morning outlined that, whilst behavioural economics is becoming an essential part of the researcher’s toolkit, there may be an inherent clash with how we do research. Gorilla in the room’s Cognitive Scientist unpacked his 25 years experience in behavioural economics and two process psychology to reveal the challenges and opportunities this field of psychology brings to consumer research. Virtual reality solves some of the problems and could be the next step forward in consumer insight.
