IAB UK’s ‘Engage 2022’ conference on the 26th of April featured two Augmented Reality case studies, one from Snap Inc and another from us here at Gorilla in the room. Our own Dr Ali Goode gave a presentation with On Device Research about measuring AR ad effectiveness.

It’s great to see AR moving from a ‘surprise and delight’ creative tool to a serious digital marketing channel. 

Advertising effectiveness in the metaverse is a hot topic at the moment, and something that is very important to observe and utilise. Understanding the real effect of AR is proving vital in the advertising industry.

In his presentation, Ali answered several questions in the hope of uncovering insights for the audience. How is AR currently being used within digital marketing? And what are the challenges when it comes to measurement? There is no one-size-fits-all formula for success in this space and this session will take a closer look at how advertisers are using AR to achieve their goals. It’s time to start thinking of AR as more than just a gimmick and harness its growing potential.
